We're three weeks into Kamala Harris's presidential campaign.
What does she stand for? We don't really know. She doesn't give interviews or talk about policy much.
To find out, maybe someone should talk to her supporters.
It turns out Kamala Harris' supporters don't really know what she stands for either.
During her Las Vegas rally on Sunday, Newsmax reporter Mike Carter talked to rally-goers, asking questions about her policies.
“What’s the most important policy issue that she holds that is important to you?” Carter asked two attendees wearing face masks.
Seriously.
After a long moment of silence, the male Harris fan said,“I would say freedom.” He later said that he meant on being pro-abortion specifically, because “we’re all born to mothers.”
Okay.
One woman claimed Harris was “unifying the nation.”
Again, okay.
We then see two young women shirts with "BRAT" on them. Carter asked what that meant.
"Just slay," one said.
The "BRAT" reference comes from Harris branded her campaign with the neon green color and style of singer Charli XCX’s latest studio album, “Brat."
Carter repeated to an attendee something Harris has said over and over in speeches. “What can be unburdened by what has been?” Carter asked a man.
“Is that a trick question?” he replied
On the energy front, Harris used to be against fracking and now has come out in favor of it. So Carter asked a woman about that.
“She actually used to support it. Has evolved her, um …” the woman supporter said.
I thought she used to be against it,” Carter said.
“I mean, I’m sorry. Did I say that? She used to be against it in her previous campaign, right?” she replied.
She's so lacking in policy, some have accused Harris of simply copying Donald Trump's positions - including Trump himself.
The whole scene of Carter asking these questions is comical, but also illuminating.
The Kamala Harris campaign really is one that stands for nothing except beating Trump in November. If she wins, she can implement whatever socialist ideas Democrats are so fond of, but in the here and now no one can really tell us what a President Harris might bring to the table.
Including her supporters.
And apparently, they just don't care.
