Trump Wants to Give New Mothers $5K; Sunny Hostin Says That's Racist

To attempt to increase the current low birth rate in America, the Trump administration has proposed giving $5,000 to new mothers. President Trump himself has called the plan "a good idea."

Sunny Hostin calls it racist.

Yes, 'The View' co-host said on Wednesday that in light of the 2024 birth rate being slightly up due primarily to Hispanic and Asian mothers, that giving new mothers of all races bonuses was somehow racist.

You can't make this up.

Hostin said, “They’re saying that the U.S. birth rate is declining, however, in 2024 there was a 1 percent increase in U.S. births, but that increase was with Hispanic mothers and Asian mothers."

"Aha!" Hostin exclaimed, as if she had discovered something.

She continued, "So, they don’t seem to be concerned about that increase. They seem to be more concerned about a decrease in other populations."

Obviously she was insinuating the bonus was to produce more white babies.

A fantasy her co-host Joy Behar immediately leaned into.

“Say it!” Behar chimed in, encouraging Hostin. “No, I think I’ve said enough,” Hostin replied.

To her credit, co-host Alyssa Griffin actually asked Hostin and Behar to clarify what they were saying.

“What is that based on, though?” Griffin asked the pair.

“White children!” Behar shot back, insisted she was relying on “stats” and “facts.” “I just gave the stats. I’m just giving facts,” Behar said.

Hostin said, "Well, it’s just based on a study. The other thing..."

Griffin asked again, "Have they said that anywhere? I feel like, just to be fair."

Behar blared, "Fair to who?"

"Have they said that this is to target only white families?" Griffin asked.

It’s in between the lines.," Behar claimed. "They’re not going to say it."

Mind you, there are the kind of people constantly warning about "misinformation" gladly making it up on the spot in front of countless viewers.

Maybe they could discuss, oh we don't know, maybe whether the policy itself is a good idea or not? A discussion with actual substance?

But no, leftists always go straight to race and will tell any lie necessary to portray President Trump poorly.

Why does anyone watch these people?
