Donald Trump campaigned promising to stop sending U.S. dollars to so many foreign countries when we need them in our country.
Now that he's president, he just shutdown USAID, the federal agency that administers and controls foreign aid.
And Democrats are MAD!
From the New York Post Monday, "US Agency for International Development (USAID) employees received an email early Monday instructing them to stay out of the agency’s Washington headquarters, as tech billionaire Elon Musk claimed President Trump has given him the OK to 'shut it down' for good."
NICE!
The story continued, "Staff were ordered at the direction of Agency leadership' to 'work remotely,' except for 'personnel with essential on-site and building maintenance functions individually contracted by senior leadership,' an agency-wide email reviewed by The Post shows. Further guidance will be forthcoming.”
This is part of not only what Trump promised to do, but Elon Musk promised to help him do.
"The missive appears to have been drafted by Gavin Kliger, an engineer at Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has been charged with trimming federal spending from the agency’s roughly $40 billion budget as well as other executive branch departments," The Post noted.
Now for what you really came for...
Democrats are absolutely FUMING!
More agencies might be shut down?
You promise?
Again...
YOU PROMISE?
Looks like an insurrection.
When Javier Milei recently became Argentina's new president, he immediately began cutting government drastically, causing so many to protest and scream that what he was doing was terrible.
Today, President Milei is more popular than ever, inflation has gone down, housing has become more affordable and the overall economy has drastically improved after decades of socialist rule.
President Milei and President Trump are friends.
People in Trump's administration have said they would like to replicate what has been done in Argentina in the United States in which massive cuts to government could lead to lower inflation and a better economy.
Let people get mad. Then see where we are in a year.
So much of our wasteful and bloated federal government needs to be cut regardless.
And foreign aid - that is more of a slush fund for foreign countries than actual aid - is a great place to start.
