Three weeks before he was sworn in to begin his second term as president, Donald Trump was asked by a reporter who he planned to get countries to take back criminal aliens currently residing illegally in the United States.
How would this work for Venezuela in particular.
Trump assured everyone that Venezuela would take them back.
And...
That's exactly what's happened.
The New York Post reported Sunday, "'Venezuela has agreed to take back its violent criminal migrants nabbed in the US — including members of the Tren de Aragua gang wreaking havoc on the Big Apple and other cities,' President Trump says."
President Trump shared on X, also celebrating the return of six American hostages who had been imprisoned in Venezuela:
"The announcement comes on the heels for a meeting between US enjoy Richard Grenell and Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro on Friday — with Grenell returning to the US with six American citizens who had been detained in the South American country," the Post noted.
The report added, "The Trump administration insisted that the visit does not signal US recognition of Maduro’s iron-fisted rule, nor did the White House offer any concessions to Venezuela as a result of the migrant arrangement."
Grenell celebrated in a post:
So President Trump kept his promise about the deportations. Venezuela in particular.
Conservatives were ecstatic and even amazed that we now had a president who was actually looking out for the country he was elected to lead.
Some marveled at how quickly this president was getting stuff done.
Here's a good question.
NOPE! So funny she was once tapped to be "border czar." What a joke and complete failure.
Some appreciated Trump's style and effectiveness.
Many were thankful.
And remember, it's not just Venezuela...
President Donald Trump and his administration have accomplished so much, at breakneck speed, in such a short period of time.
Freeing American hostages and getting Venezuela and its dictator to take back their illegal immigrants is but Team Trump's latest win. It's America's win.
Now let's see what happens this week!
