The Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) paid a visit to the Internal Revenue Service last Thursday. DOGE is conducting an audit and is now reportedly going to let 15,000 IRS workers go as soon as this week.

In the middle of tax season. You love to see it.

Republican Congressman Byron Donalds said that it was good to see the IRS getting a taste of its own medicine and that it was about time the agency was held accountable.

Rep. Donalds said during an interview on Rob Schmitt Tonight, “If this is the only thing that gets accomplished, it’ll be mission accomplished for Donald Trump and for his team because for far too long the IRS has had no problem peering into the books of every American, rich or poor, middle-income America."

“They love doing this stuff," he added. "But it’s time for them to be held accountable to make sure that everything that they’re paying for is fully accounted for.”

Donalds was not the only one excited and glad to see IRS getting a hard look for a change.

BREAKING.

Sen. Mike Lee had a suggestion.

Sen. Ted Cruz was ready for DOGE to take an axe to the IRS two weeks ago.

Elon Musk asked beforehand (to unsurprising results).

The winning never ends.

It's magical!

Good point!

Democrats in a total panic.

What are they so worried about?
