During his Super Bowl interview, President Trump confirmed it—Elon Musk is diving headfirst into the Department of Education’s books this week, then moving on to the Pentagon. Waste, fraud, and abuse? He’s about to put Washington’s bloated budgets under the microscope like he did with Twitter. If this keeps up, we might actually see real spending cuts for the first time in decades.
And of course, the Left is in full meltdown mode. They’re protesting DOGE cuts and panicking over their favorite bureaucracies getting trimmed down. Chuck Schumer, who loves to remind us that “elections have consequences,” suddenly isn’t so thrilled when those consequences involve slashing government bloat. Funny how that works.
Meanwhile, USAID—the Left’s foreign aid piggy bank—is getting downsized in a major way. The agency’s staff is being cut from thousands to just a few hundred, and the more scrutiny it gets, the more waste is exposed. This is a level of spending accountability Washington isn’t used to, which explains the freak-outs.
But the shake-ups aren’t just happening in D.C.—Trump is shifting focus abroad too. He’s announced a plan for U.S. oversight in Gaza to stabilize and rebuild it, something the so-called foreign policy “experts” have failed at despite spending billions of taxpayer dollars. Trump brokered historic peace deals in his first term, and now he’s trying to clean up another mess.
