Last Saturday, an assassin took a shot at Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, narrowly missing a fatal shot and hitting the former president's right ear.
While Trump was fortunate to have survived the attack, two attendees were injured and one was killed. Former Fire Chief Corey Comperatore was fatally shot while covering his wife and daughters from the assassin's bullets. Trump took a moment during his nomination acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention to honor the sacrifice of this brave patriot.
Also, during the Republican National Convention, Trump made his long-awaited pick for Vice President, announcing that JD Vance, Senator from Ohio, would be his running mate.
ForAmerica President David Bozell and The Washington Times' Tim Constantine discuss the media's unfair treatment of President Trump, which has been a prevalent theme this week as the media flails at Trump's momentum following the assassination attempt and Biden's falters:
While Trump recovers from a gunshot wound and returns to the campaign trail, Joe Biden finds himself reportedly dealing with Covid, clearing his schedule and fueling reports that he plans to drop out of the presidential race.
If Biden does stay in the race, it doesn't fair well for him as Trump increased his lead in nearly every swing state this week. Even on tax policy, the choice is incredibly clear: Americans cannot afford four more years of a Leftist presidency.
As we move into next week, be on the lookout for Biden to drop out of the race, although reports are indicating he will not resign the presidency or endorse another candidate. If he is not mentally fit to run for office, he is not mentally fit to remain in office through January. We are excited to take America back in 2024!
We appreciate you taking the time to read through this week's recap! The Cannon will be back next week with more news, laughs, and highlights. Stay tuned as we cover the ins and outs of the 2024 election and never give the Left a free day!
