No One Is Above the Law... Unless They're a Liberal Judge

The "no one is above the law" crowd was awfully silent this week.

Turns out when liberal judges help criminals dodge the law, the media and the Left suddenly lose interest in "accountability."

First up: Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested by the FBI for allegedly helping an illegal immigrant — facing battery charges — slip out the back door of her courtroom to avoid ICE agents. According to federal investigators, Dugan intentionally misled law enforcement and used a side exit to spirit the suspect away.

The Left didn’t call for consequences — they rushed to defend her. Democratic politicians called the FBI arrest an "attack on judicial independence," and legacy media outlets tried to downplay it as a "misunderstanding."

Meanwhile, in New Mexico, former state judge Joel Cano was arrested for something even worse: allegedly harboring members of the Tren de Aragua gang — the brutal Venezuelan cartel involved in fentanyl smuggling, human trafficking, and murder. Law enforcement found suspected gang members living on his property. You can guess how many breathless cable news segments covered that story: zero.

But it doesn’t stop there — the Left’s allegiance to these criminals goes well beyond courtroom favors.

Democrats Should Protect Citizens as Well as They Do Illegal Immigrants

If you've heard of Tren de Aragua, it's probably because violent gang members have been at the top of the headlines lately. Leftist politicians, like Sen. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, have been making their pilgrimage to El Salvador to try and spring these violent thugs — members of MS-13, Tren de Aragua, and other awful groups are in the good graces of the Democrats. It's no wonder their approval ratings are 30%.

The pattern couldn’t be clearer. When Trump cracks down on violent criminals, it’s "authoritarian." When liberal judges shelter criminals and defy immigration law, it’s "heroism."

It’s not about principle. It’s about power. The law’s sacred when it hurts their enemies — but when it protects their allies, it’s optional.

Sabotage from the Bench

Judicial corruption wasn’t the only problem this week. Now the courts are back at it — undermining the will of the people and gutting our election integrity.

President Trump’s executive order requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote has been blocked by a federal judge. The order was simple: no one should vote in federal elections unless they’re a U.S. citizen. Seems obvious, right?

Not to the activist Left. Within hours, lawsuits flooded the courts, claiming that asking for proof of citizenship would "suppress voters" and "burden marginalized communities."

And sure enough, an Obama-appointed federal judge agreed.

The Left wants confusion. They want loopholes. They want a system where anyone, anywhere, can show up and cast a ballot without serious verification.

And once again, the courts are more than happy to help.

The same people who scream "election security!" every time Russia buys $5 in Facebook ads are suddenly allergic to basic voter ID laws.

This isn’t about democracy. It’s about sabotage. Sabotage by lawsuits, sabotage by activist rulings, sabotage by bureaucrats who will do anything to tilt the playing field.

The Left floods the country with illegal immigrants — and if you say they shouldn’t vote? Suddenly, you’re the threat to democracy.

Thanks for reading this week’s Cannon. The fight for America’s future continues — online, in Congress, and in culture.
