Elon Musk sent an email to all federal employees over the weekend, asking them to list five accomplishments during their prior work week.
He said refusing to comply would be considered a resignation.
This was obviously controversial, and of course most of CNN's talking heads didn't like it. Conservative Scott Jennings took it as an opportunity to remind them who federal workers actually work for.
The conversation began with The View co-host Ana Navarro claiming the email was “abusive” to government employees and that the cuts were “ haphazard.”
Navarro said,“If they did it surgically, if they did it strategically, if they did it deliberately and thoughtfully, I don’t think anybody would have an issue with cutting some government waste with identifying programs that are not working, but the way they are doing it is haphazard, it is dangerous, it is, frankly, abusive of federal workers and it is just plain wrong,”
“It’s abusive to send an email?” Jennings asked, with Navarro responding, “Yes, I do. I do think that I think the way that they are. Yeah, I think the way that they are treating them."
“How is this abusive?” Jennings asked. Co-panelist Tara Setmayer complained about federal employees being told that if they didn't reply they were fired.
Jennings responded, “It‘s called having a boss in the private sector."
“From someone who’s not your boss?” Setmayer shot back.
“Well, the White House is every federal worker’s boss...” Jennings said.
X users loved Jennings reminding the panel who's boss if you work in the federal government.
Jennings didn't hold back.
Millions of Americans have to show up at their jobs every day.
He obliterated them.
Scott Jennings' job is literally to humiliate these people every day.
What a job. Somebody's got to do it!
