As President Donald Trump delivered his joint speech to Congress on Tuesday, Republicans clapped throughout and Democrats acted like petulant children.
Democrat Rep. Al Green was even thrown out. It was not a good look for Democrats at all.
It was a very good night for Republicans and the President.
A CBS News poll reveals that a whopping 76 percent either "strongly" or "somewhat" approved of Trump's speech.
Just 23 percent did not approve of Trump's speech.
There's more.
68 percent said the address made them feel “hopeful.” 54 percent said they felt “proud.” Only 16 percent said it made them “angry.”
77 percent supported his efforts to curb illegal immigration, and 77 percent also favored how he was handling government spending. 65 percent approved of his announced tariffs.
A strong 73 percent approve of how the president is handling the Ukraine-Russia war.
But maybe the best poll number?
When House Speaker Mike Johnson’s decided to have Rep. Green escorted from the chamber for his heckling antics...
76 percent approved of that decision. Nice.
Of course, people had all sorts of opinions on social media.
Starting with Speaker Johnson.
Some considered it Trump's best speech ever.
Democrats are just screaming into the void at this point.
Dems embarrassed themselves.
Total dominance.
Even CNN's poll had 70 percent approving of Trump's speech.
The greatest speech of all time?
