For eight years, Hillary Clinton has claimed that the 2016 election was stolen from her by the Russians.
Her campaign was the source of the infamous Steele Dossier, a document that showed that Donald Trump had allegedly colluded with Russia to win. A two-year investigation by independent counsel Robert Mueller found zero evidence of collusion, yet Clinton and many Democrats continue to parrot this disproved claim.
In short, Hillary Clinton is the queen of misinformation and a certain kind of 'Russian propaganda' of her own making.
Luckily for her, the United States has a First Amendment that protects our speech, even the kind of lying Hillary specializes in.
But now Mrs. Clinton does not believe those free speech protections should apply to Americans who speak in ways she doesn't like.
On the Rachel Maddow show Monday, the former Secretary of State said that Americans who spread "Russian" misinformation should be criminally charged.
That's right - Clinton says to hell with the Bill of Rights and First Amendment.
“I think it’s important to indict the Russians, just like (Robert) Mueller indicted a lot of Russians who were engaged in direct election interference and boosting Trump back in 2016,” Clinton said.
That's some revisionist history by a delusional woman, but let's get to the important part.
Clinton said, “But I also think there are Americans who are engaged in this kind of propaganda and whether they should be civilly, or even in some cases, criminally charged is something that would be a better deterrence because the Russians are unlikely, except in a very few cases, to ever stand trial in the United States.”
"Criminally charged?" As in the police of feds showing up at your doorstep because you said something Clinton doesn't like? The ABOLISHMENT of the First Amendment because she's still bitter about 2016?
While Democrat Kamala Harris is saying that "democracy is on the line" in 2024... what's more anti-democratic that ditching free speech?
Clinton wasn't done.
“So I think we need to uncover all the connections and make it very clear that you can vote however you want, but we are not going to let adversaries, Russia, China, Iran or anybody else basically try to influence Americans as to how we should vote in picking our leaders,” she added.
Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance called out Clinton for the anti-free speech authoritarian that she is.
If we're going to start jailing for using speech those in power don't like - which we CLEARLY SHOULDN'T DO, despite Hillary's suggestion - then Clinton would be at the top of that list.
The Constitution and the First Amendment are bigger and more important than her attacks on our most basic democratic norms and standards.
But if she really wanted to run that play...
Lock her up.
