High School Students Stage Walkout As Adults Push Transgenderism

Students at John Jay High School in New York recently protested transgender students using bathrooms of the gender they identify with rather than their actual biological birth gender.

“A bunch of people from our school, John Jay, feel uncomfortable,” said Shauna Neilan, a senior at John Jay High School. “We want to change that and give them their own spaces to make us more comfortable and them more comfortable.”

Spectrum News 1 HV reported, "The planned event led to a dualing protest made up of adults and students in support of transgender students using the bathroom of the gender they identify and feel comfortable with."

The story continued:

The protesters stayed civil as they chanted across a parking lot down the road from the school.
Wappingers Central School District Superintendent Dwight Bonk said they were made aware of a potential walkout over the weekend, as indicated in a since-removed petition, and had police present in case things escalated.
Under state and federal laws, school districts must provide transgender students with access to restrooms of the sex that they identify with, which might not be what they were assigned at birth.
“We want to support all of their rights, but we're also going to be following the proper protocol that we are responsible for following” Bonk said.

High school kids shouldn't even be having to deal with this. Who would want their daughter to be in the same bathroom as a boy who identifies as a girl?

Obviously enough of the students were uncomfortable enough to protest this.

If a senior girl, like the one quoted at the beginning of this article feels "uncomfortable," then that should be the top priority.

If some other kids are having trouble figuring out what gender they are, that is not other high school students' problem.

And shame on adults who make it so.

The powerful forcing their wishes on the powerless,,,,,Students have more common sense and decency than the adults. these adults are pushing an agenda, and indoctrinating children. Even in High School these are still children. Our children! There is NO reason for students of opposite genders to share the same restroom and locker room facilities,,,,,,if transgender students feel uncomfortable in the restroom with males,,,,,think how a biological female feels. Give them separate facilities; everybody's comfortable. How hard can that be?
