The establishment press has been lying for years about Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly being allies or best buds, or whatever.
It's completely ridiculous.
Even though the two year long investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller showed that there was zero "collusion" between Trump and Putin during the 2016 election, as Democrats alleged. Trump's haters don't really care much about evidence or facts.
Still, that Trump and Putin are in cahoots has endured to this day as the Left's favorite conspiracy theory.
So it's no surprise that on Tuesday the Associated Press ran a story this week - and had to retract it - claiming that National Director of Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard publicly said in an interview that Trump and Putin were “very good friends.”

They were so eager to tie Trump and Putin together - AGAIN - that the AP initially lied about what Gabbard actually said.
Gabbard said in an interview with Indian news outlet NDTV that Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, were "very good friends."
Not Trump and Putin, as the AP first reported.
The AP's correction read, “This story was updated on Mar. 17, 2025, to delete erroneous reporting that U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin ‘are very good friends."

After the Trump and Putin are "very good friends" report was pulled, the AP changed the story to one in which Gabbard said that Trump is “looking forward to success” in his upcoming negotiations with Putin.
Gabbard said, “Under the previous administration, during which this war began, there was no effort, there was no effort at all towards peace. There was no effort to have direct dialogue with Putin and with Russia to try to bring about an end to this war. So already in a very short period of time, President Trump has made much more progress towards peace than any effort that has occurred by anyone, previously."
"I’m sure that President Trump will have a very productive conversation with Putin, once again, rooted in his unwavering commitment to peace.”
But AP wasn't going to get off the hook that easily.
Gabbard’s spokesperson, Alexa Henning, said she contacted the AP reporter David Klepper to demand a correction.
Henning didn't let up.
People definitely noticed.
Pretty sad.
How does this happen? (Hint: Trump Derangement Syndrome).
Lying liars.
Will the establishment press ever learn any lessons from their long history of "reporting" false, obviously biased and ideologically slanted "fake news?"
Honesty and the media are not very good friends.
