When social media influencer and pro wrestler Logan Paul saw Donald Trump get back up after an attempt on his life, he called it "the most badass thing I’ve ever seen in my life."
Describing the same scene, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg also said it was "bad ass."
Neither of these were endorsements for president. Zuckerberg made clear that his comments were not that.
But they did think Trump looked badass.
Appropriately, at the Republican National Convention, Kid Rock played his hit song "American Bad Ass" as a tribute to Trump and what he did on the day someone tried to take his life.
Country star and friend of Trump, Jason Aldean, is voting for him and called him a "warrior" for surviving the assassination attempt.
There are more such comments about the toughness of Trump coming from high-profile celebrities.
Rapper 50 Cent even shared this.
Time will pass between now and November and the establishment media has already done all it can to try to convince us of how wonderful Kamala Harris is, pretending as if the assassination attempt never happened.
But it did. And it registered with many in an emotional way that goes beyond mere policy and politics.
Zuckerberg is not a Trump guy. But that he still had the reaction he did is indicative of widespread similar sentiment.
Logan Paul said the now iconic photo of Trump raising his fist with blood on his face was "the most gangster image of all time."
You can't buy this kind of street cred.
Donald Trump doesn't have to buy it. He has it. He had it with the iconic mugshot photo when he was arrested.
But surviving the assassination attempt is next level.
This is something Republicans should hold up and remind voters of no matter how badly the Left wants it to be forgotten. It's hard to recall a president since Theodore Roosevelt who had this kind of cache with the public due to his toughness.
The worst thing that could have happened to Donald Trump on that awful day was to lose his life. Thankfully that didn't happen.
But the worst thing that could have happened to Democrats was for Trump to survive and bounce back like a fighter.
Which is exactly what he did.
It's a simple thing, but it should not be forgotten.
It should be leaned into and celebrated as much as possible for the rest of this election. And then some.
