The Kamala Harris campaign is sending out Tim Walz to urge black men to vote Democrat in the presidential election.
That's right - the potential first black woman president is sending out her white vice presidential candidate to make a pitch to black men for her.
It's as stupid a move as it sounds.
And Bill Maher slammed Democrats over it.
"It’s 25 days before the election and I gotta say, it’s not looking that great for the Democrats," Maher said on his show 'Real Time' on Friday night.
The HBO host continued, "I mean, this is not a good sign, you know. When you have an African American candidate, you probably shouldn’t be having to shore up your support among Black men, but that’s what’s going on. Tim Walz is headlining a voter engagement event tonight with Black men."
"Who better to connect with young black men than Tim Walz?" he said. "Because, apparently, Michael Bublé was unavailable. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian is like, 'Hello?'”
Barack Obama has also been campaigning for Harris, which makes more sense in reaching black male voters than Walz, but Maher had something to say about this too.
"No, Obama even came out yesterday to scold. I mean, he was scolding," Maher said. "Last month at the convention, he was not scolding. Now he’s scolding. He was saying, 'You’ve got to vote for Harris.' But of course, for some young, especially the younger Black men, it’s a tough choice. Harris is African American but Trump has a sneaker line."
A number of recent polls have showed that Trump has improved his support with black male voters.
At a campaign rally, JD Vance agreed with Maher that Obama was "scolding" black men for potentially voting for Trump.
Vance said maybe those men were tired of "being told what to do."
Regardless, we're about three weeks from the election, and Democrats are making some bizarre and seemingly desperate moves.
Don't be surprised if they get even more bizarre and more desperate between now and November 5th.
