Bill Maher Calls Out 'Huge Liar' Harris, Walz for 'Insulting My Intelligence'

Kamala Harris did her first interview on Thursday with her vice presidential pick Tim Walz by her side.

And HBO's Bill Maher had some thoughts about it.

“I thought she did great. I thought she did fine,” Maher said. “I don’t know why we ever thought she was as bad as people thought she was. It was like Biden had that one bad night, she had a bad three years.”

Then Maher said of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz when he was asked about his time in the National Guard and claiming to have seen combat duty, he was “insulting [Maher's] intelligence” by being evasive.

Walz said in response to being challenged about that, that he just speaks the way normal people speak.

“No, you don’t. You’re a huge liar, like all politicians are,” Maher responded. “I don’t give a s*** what you did during the Iraq War. You were in the Guard - I don’t understand why they just can’t....”

“They’re just insulting my intelligence," Maher added.

Maher called out Harris on a few things.

“When (CNN interviewer Dana Bash) said what did you say when Biden called you and said he wasn’t running. ‘Well, I immediately thought of him first,'” Maher said.

Maher rolled his eyes at that one.

He then went after her flip-flopping on fracking.

“I mean fracking… Dana Bash had her dead right. It was like you said this, I have the quote. I’m reading it to you. You said, 'there should be a ban on fracking.’ Why can’t they just go, ‘Yeah, you know what? I got it wrong.’”

Maher also didn't understand what Harris meant by repeatedly talking about a “new way forward.”

Isn't she currently the vice president? And has been so for over three years?

“It’s an odd thing to say when you’re in the present administration, is it not?” Maher said.

Maher mocked Harris for having Walz there as an “emotional support VP.”

“It was a little odd," the host said. "He was just sitting there for a very long time without saying anything. He was just nodding while she did all the talking. The women’s focus groups said he must be a wonderful husband."

He said the Democratic White House nominees looked like “when Dad comes along” to help a young lady buy a car.

Maher kidded, “Maybe that’s the strategy. They look like a married couple. They look like every interracial couple in every commercial."

Maybe that really is the strategy. Because, as Bill Maher apparently noticed too, smoke and mirrors is the best strategy they seem to have.

And that was on full display in their first interview.

Pretty much know when they're blowin' smoke up your Arse, Kamala's lips are movin' and Walz's head is nodding yes over & over.
