ForAmerica: No More Excuses for Congress; It Is Time to Move on Immigration Enforcement Legislation

“Congress Could Have Passed Immigration Enforcement Months Ago”

CLIFTON, VA – October 8, 2017 — Following the Trump administration’s release of their 70-point immigration security plan, David Bozell, President of ForAmerica, released the following statement:

“President Trump’s immigration security outline is terrific, but we do not need any more outlines – it is time for Congress to show the American people a bill.

“Congress has all the leverage they need to pass legislation that prioritizes American workers, funds border security, ends chain migration, and protects innocent people in sanctuary cities. Republicans instead have been hemming and hawing until President Trump provides the roadmap. The reality is that Republicans in Congress could have tackled immigration months ago, as they promised repeatedly to voters they would do if elected.”
